Women are the essence of society today--the misuse and violence towards them is a cowardly act that needs to be globally recognized and trialed for the crime that it is. I am proud of my country, but see the cowardice in not taking bigger steps to help violence against women in the DC, when the act is purely looked down upon and punished in my own.
