V-love to ALL women of Congo and of the world!

I think......NO i know after what happened in Kenya after the post election Violence women being raped and used as weapons...is the saddest thing and the worst sought of humanity that should ever happen.Men are the BIGGEST barrier and the worst people to ever think that we are female and superior or male and superior in the century is just so ...old fashioned...i think we are ALL human and need to treat each other with RESPECT and the DIGNITY that we all have been born with and endowed with .....lots of love and huggs from me in Kenya.....till the Violence ends,....Mo!

V-Men 2010 Coming to Kenya!

The majority of Kenya's post-election violence took place in January
and February, 2008. The fighting resulted in 1,133 casualties, at
least 350,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs), approximately 2,000
refugees, significant, but unknown, numbers of sexual violence
victims, and the destruction of 117,216 private properties and 491
government-owned properties including offices, vehicles, health
centers and schools.

Initially, the violence was spontaneous and a reaction to the
perceived rig

Guns and Women.....what a shame!

I have just come from DR Congo with my friend Greg Iverson who is a freelance Social worker like me and this is our report after traveling to the Congo and i back home where i hope that MEN an see what its is that make them more superior to women.

The horror of sexual violence that has blighted the lives of women and girls in DR Congo is nowhere more apparent than at the Panzi Hospital in Bukavu. The first thing that strikes you is the long queue of women(supprisingly i didnt even see men)

The ONE day that changed MY LIFE FOREVER!

If there are people who have hearts and are reading this......please never let it happen to any girl, woman or female just because we feel that they are....WOMEN..........this is the 21 Century...

There was a time when my family lacked for nothing. We lived in our
own house in Nairobi and my kids were driven to and from school.
I had a thriving business and travelled all over the major East
African markets – Kampala, Malaba, Dar es Salaam, Kigali – delivering
curios and purchasing garments for s… Continue

Hello! Thanks for reaching out to me. I am healing myself but always always working in this field of sexual violence because I know just how wrong and disempowering it can be. It does not have to be this way. I admire you for having worked in some of the places where violence is most extreme. I am writing an article on sex stereotyping and the logic of rape as community intimidation. My colleagues just finished a report on the ZANU-PF in Zimbabwe and the situation in DRC has been getting worse according to a Human RiGhts Watch report released today. I don't know a lot about Kenya but it is heartbreaking to have to admit there are many many more places where the situation is worse or just more of the same.
What do you think we hAve to do? Beginning with female solidarity and empowerment, do we also have to train as fighters? Because every political or emancipatory move we make it comes back in our face as more violence. Will non violence work or what is your view?

Dear Mo, I love receiving your messages. Im so proud of men like you!! Women's fight is nothing if men do not colaborate. There are lots of men who are not interested on fighting for this, but I think this makes men like you more awesome!! And you are true... maybe it is not necessary to use the term "feminist", because it is enough to be a HUMAN to feel we have to fight for this. Thank you for being so nice. Sandra.

Hi Mo! I completely agree with you. I'm glad in this movement we have men who think as you do because it's totally necessary that men fight to get equality and justice as well as women do. And sadly, there are not so many men who care about this. Fortunately, each day, men who join us are more.

I can only say: Thank you.

Awesome! Where in the U.S. will you be?

As the violence in the Eastern DRC continues, your support & your voice are critical. Hundreds of thousands of women and girls have been raped, and thousands more are at risk every day.

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT , let the women of the Congo hear you, speak out against this violence, send your message of hope, empowerment, change and victory.
